ARE YOU THE ONLY SMIIRL COUNTERS DISTRIBUTOR IN CANADA?

We are the only official distributor/dealer of Smiirl counters in Canada. All requests made to Smiirl are automatically redirected to us.

If you find other sellers in Canada, their counters have been purchased from S&P Technology.

WHY ORDER WITH S&P TECHNOLOGY RATHER THAN WITH SMIIRL?

Smiirl relies on S&P Technology to distribute its counters in Canada.

We therefore offer the same prices as the Smiirl website but in Canadian dollars ($ CAD).

You will also get the same 2-year warranty for the counters. If you ever have a problem you will have local support at your disposal and if the problem cannot be resolved, you will receive a new counter as soon as possible. No need to pay $ 50 + to return your counter to France.

Finally, you will avoid the duty and custom fees associated with buying a counter in France.

Do I need an internet connection?

Of course! Our counters are connected through a Wi-Fi or Ethernet connexion to your own internet network, in order to be able to fetch the information needed in real time.

Our counters can also be connected through a hot spot connexion with shared connexion via your smartphones, this is very useful if you’re used to travelling or attending to events or exhibitions.

For high security networks, for instance it can be the case for companies’ networks, an additional maneuver will be required to do, but will roughly take a couple of minutes to your network administrator. (if you’re the latter, you’ll just need to “white-list” the MAC address of the item, easy peasy lemon squeezy !)

Do I require the use of a computer in order for my counter to work work work work work ?

You’ll just need a computer, a smartphone or even a tablet during the set up of your counter, maneuver that will take you less than 5 minutes. It will then work independently !

Are the counter easy to set up ?

Easy as ABC ! We’ve been selling counter all over the world to a great variety of clients for 3 years now, and we’re constantly working to improve the process in order to simplify it.

Do I need a Facebook or an Instagram account ?

The Facebook Smiirl Counter will display your number of “fans” (or “likes” as some might say) of a Business page. Because of technical issues, the owner of the page needs to possess a Facebook account, and that’s the reason why we’re asking you to connect yourself via your Facebook account during the setting up steps.

The Instagram Counter will display your number of followers of a page. Because of technical issues, the owner of the page needs to possess an Instagram account, and that’s the reason why we’re asking you to connect yourself via your Instagram account during the setting up steps. Is it possible to change the account linked to the counter once it’s set up ?

Of course. Once set, you can change the linked account as many times as you want, whenever you feel like.

Is it possible to connect several counters to the same Facebook page or the same Instagram account ?

No problem fella, some of our clients are franchises and all of their counters are connected to the same page (FB or Insta).

Are the counters really connected in real time ? What is the update frequency ?

Affirmative ! Our counters are capable of reacting in real time. After several tests, we’ve found out that a one-second reaction was way too short, simply because the people liking the counter didn’t even have the time to look up to see the counter in motion. The counters are, by default, set on a 3 seconds reaction frequency.

For the biggest pages around, we let the client the choice to set this frequency himself. Some of our clients are using their counters in their office, and set the frequency to 30 minutes, allowing them to see an evolution without the counter shaking its flaps all the time.

Is it possible to fix your counters on walls or any surface for that matter ?

Yup yup. We’ve thought of digging to little holes at the back of the object in order to fix it just like a beautiful painting. You can see that feature on the products pages.

I love your counters, but i’d like to change the color of the logo/flaps, is that possible ?

Well… nope.

And for several reasons :

First of all, we have a (technical) contract with our friends from Facebook (so Instagram as well) who ask us to comply with a very pointy agreement, especially regarding their visual identity : the blue thumb, the official blue color. Same goes for the Instagram logo and identity.

On the other hand, we’ve created these counters so that they can be recognized with a glance, so that your clients immediately understand what network they’re connected to.

Wouldn’t make sense to replace these official logos with another one (even if we’re certainly and without a doubt sure yours is outrageously beautiful), because it would result in screwing up the visual power and the efficiency of the item.
